Did you know that the name peacock actually describes only male members of the species? Likewise, females are known as peahens, and the term peafowl encompasses both male and females. Peacocks are best known for their enormous and colorful tails.

  • History: Although both species of peafowl are classified as least concern on the conservation status spectrum, they are the subject of illegal poaching for their meat and feathers. Still, it’s estimated that their worldwide population easily surpasses 100,000 individuals, and there are no immediate concerns that their numbers are dropping at an alarming rate.
  • Scientific Name: Family Phasianidae
  • Characteristics: There are actually two species of peafowl, simply named the blue and the green peafowl. Because of its predominantly blue body, you can tell this expertly painted peacock toy figurine is a member of the blue peafowl species!
  • Size: 4 inches wide and 3 inches tall, this peacock toy figurine is about an inch wider and taller than a deck of cards stood on its side.

    STANDARD SERVICE: All items ship from our Southampton, NY location within 1-2 business days. Orders with Standard service will be shipped via USPS First Class, USPS Priority Mail, UPS Ground, UPS Surepost, or FedEx Home Delivery.

    EXPEDITED SERVICE:  Please call us for a quote if you wish to have your items shipped using an expedited shipping service such as UPS Two Day or Next Day..

    We will provide an ESTIMATED delivery timeframe at checkout based on the items in your order and your location. Some orders may arrive in multiple shipments.

    Items Lost or Damaged in Transit

    Please contact us by email or calling in the event your shipment is lost or damaged.  In the event of visible damage, please keep all packaging material.  Stevenson’s will provide tracking numbers for all shipments and is not responsible for items not received that the tracking shows as having been delivered.

They saved my son’s fifth birthday by going above and beyond to help me out after I had unbelievably bad luck finding the Playmobil house that he wanted and is near impossible to find.
